This two-hour class explores how to create, use, and promote an RSS feed.

Description:

RSS is gaining popularity, and some researchers say it may be one of the technologies to replace e-mail someday. This two-hour class explores how to create, use, and promote an RSS feed; what is an aggregator and how to use it; what makes RSS so unique; and how libraries are using it.

Intended Audience:

Anyone interested in learning how to use RSS technology in the library environment.

Notes:

Registrations for this class must be received at least one week before the class date. Registrants should receive an email offering detailed login and setup instructions. Please call the Educational Services Department at 1.800.999.8558 if you do not receive this email at least three days before the class. This course is designed for individual participation; each individual must register.
