The Educated Consumer: Evaluating Preservation Products and Services (Live Online)

This class taught in three two-hour sessions over the course of three days empowers you to be an educated consumer of products and services advertised to the library and archive communities.

Description:

Through lecture, case study and active audience participation, this class demystifies the information available to collection custodians.  Discussion will clarify terminology, review factors that influence the longevity of materials, and consider why we care about the quality of materials and services used to prolong the useful life of holdings.

Notes:

Registrations for this class must be received at least one week before the class date. This course is designed for individual participation; each individual must register.  Registrants will receive an e-mail detailing login and setup instructions.
