20 Questions: Business Resources (Live Online)

Description:

Business reference questions can be particularly challenging, and the information elusive and expensive. In this two-hour live online class, students will explore the answers to 20 business reference questions like, “Are these stock certificates from 1930 I found in my basement worth anything?” and, “What companies in California manufacture computer chips?" Students will then have the opportunity to explore business reference resources further in an after-class exercise.  

Learning Outcomes:
By the end of this class students will be able to:  

  • Identify basic business reference tools online
  • Use business resources to answer specific questions
  • Assist patrons with business reference questions more effectively

Intended Audience:

Library staff new to working with reference questions related to business resources, or experienced business reference librarians seeking to refresh their knowledge of online resources
