Description:
Business reference
questions can be particularly challenging, and the information elusive and
expensive. In this two-hour live online class, students will explore the
answers to 20 business reference questions like, “Are these stock certificates
from 1930 I found in my basement worth anything?” and, “What companies in
California manufacture computer chips?" Students will then have the
opportunity to explore business reference resources further in an after-class
exercise.
Learning Outcomes:
By the end of this class students will be able to:

basic business reference tools online

patrons with business reference questions more effectively

Library staff new to working with reference questions related to business resources, or experienced business reference librarians seeking to refresh their knowledge of online resources
