Introduction to Institutional Repositories (Live Online)

This session will define and describe the characteristics and features of institutional repositories, which can include not only scholarship of faculty and students but also digital assets such as administrative records, course notes, technical reports and learning objects.

Description:

Is your college or university interested in collecting the digital output of your faculty and students? Have you heard the phrase “institutional repository” and wondered how this concept related to your institution? If so, then this two-hour online class is for you. The class will define an institutional repository, explore how an institution might use it, and include descriptions of existing platforms and models.

Notes:

Please note that registrations for this class must be received at least one week prior to the class date. Registrants should receive an email offering detailed login and set-up instructions. Please call the Educational Services Department at 800-999-8558 if you do not receive this email at least three days prior to the class. This course is designed for individual participation; each individual must register. 

Time: All web-based classes are advertised in Eastern time.
