Marketing Your Virtual Library

This one-day class will help you find practical ways to make the most of the resources you already have.

Description:

Most libraries today have access to a wealth of electronic resources, but all too often patrons are oblivious to the trove of information that is right there at their fingertips. How can libraries help their users make the most of these valuable electronic resources?

This one-day class will help you find practical ways to make the most of the resources you already have. We will discuss raising patrons' awareness of the resources, how you promote databases on your website, how easy or difficult it is for patrons to log in and how using your resources can raise the profile of the library within the local institution or community.

Intended Audience:

Library staff interested in discovering practical ways to increase awareness of their electronic resource offerings.
