REFolution
Today’s library users look to electronic resources for answers. The greatest challenges for today’s information seekers are knowing where to begin and making the leap from searching for information to getting it. The REFolution preconference will explore ideas, products, and services to help the 21st century reference librarian provide more organized access to the ever increasing range of resources, and more user friendly access environments in the physical library and beyond.

Getting to campus / parking:
If you’re staying at the Hampton Inn on St. Charles Avenue, consider taking the St. Charles streetcar to campus. It’s $1.25 one way. See schedule. Board the streetcar near the intersection of St. Charles Ave. and Napoleon Ave. Exit at the Tulane University / Loyola University / Audubon Park stop. The Lavin-Bernick Center is an 8 to 10 minute walk through the Tulane campus (campus map).
Visitors can park for free at University Square, located at 200 Broadway St., during the day and ride a free shuttle to the central part of campus. The University Square shuttle service operates Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 6 p.m. and runs approximately every twenty minutes (schedule). Exit shuttle at Freret St. The Lavin-Bernick Center is a short walk from there (campus map).
Pay to park in the Diboll Parking Garage. The 1st floor is metered parking; upper floors are $5 per day. Pay in the breezeway of the Diboll Complex. The Lavin-Bernick Center is an 8 to 10 minute walk through campus (campus map).
Directions to University Square:
From the east: Take I-10 toward New Orleans. As you enter the downtown area, follow the signs to Hwy. 90 Business/West Bank. Exit at St. Charles Avenue/Carondelet Street (do not cross the bridge). At the second traffic light make a right onto St. Charles Avenue. Follow St. Charles Avenue for four miles to Broadway St. Take Broadway to Perrier St. Take a right onto Perrier Street into University Square. Go straight for about 350 feet. The parking lot on the right is where the shuttle picks up. The shuttle is white and has a green Tulane University logo printed on it. University Square map.
From the west: Take I-10 toward New Orleans and exit at the Carrolton Avenue exit (Exit 232). Continue straight onto Carrolton Ave for 2.2 miles. Turn left at St. Charles Ave. Drive .6 miles to Broadway. Turn right onto Broadway St.. Take Broadway to Perrier St. Take a right onto Perrier Street into University Square. From the French Quarter: Take St. Charles Avenue west to Broadway St. Turn left onto Broadway. Take Broadway to Perrier St. Take a right onto Perrier Street into University Square. Directions to Diboll Complex:
From the East: Take I-10 toward New Orleans. Follow signs toward the Central Business District. Take the Carrolton Avenue exit. Follow South Carrolton until it nearly ends and turn left onto St. Charles Avenue (follow streetcar tracks). At the light at Broadway turn left. At the light at Willow turn right. The next light is McAlister Drive. Turn left to enter the Tulane campus. The Diboll Complex is the Parking Garage building on your right.
From the west: Take I-10 toward New Orleans. As you enter the downtown area follow the signs to Highway 90 Business/West Bank. Exit at St. Charles Avenue/Carondelet Street (do not cross the bridge).
