Important Information for New England Members

All NELINET members become part of LYRASIS on October 1, 2009. Here you'll find information to help ensure your comfortable transition to LYRASIS including details about contracts, FEIN, W-9 forms, remittance, and other topics. You may wish to forward this information to your purchasing department or other staff members as well. Please do not hesitate to contact LYRASIS Member Support with any questions you may have.

1. Name Change and W9 Form

Name Change – NELINET will officially change its name to LYRASIS.

Contracts – All contracts between NELINET and its members will continue and become contractual obligations of LYRASIS. No new contract is required for continued service to your library.

FEIN – The FEIN for LYRASIS is: 23-1365979.

W9 Form – A LYRASIS New England W-9 Form is available here or Member Support will email, fax, or mail a copy to you at your request. (Note: The W9 form is not valid prior to the legal effectiveness date.)

Remittance Address – Continue to send remittances to: LYRASIS, PO Box 646115, Pittsburgh, PA 15264-6115

2. Dues and Fees

There will be no change to NELINET’s membership structure and annual member fees through June 30, 2010. LYRASIS will be defining a new membership fee structure for both individual institutions and groups starting FY2011. You may direct any questions about your membership to Meryl Cinnamon, Manager of Membership Services, at 800.999.8558 ext. 1211.

3. Setting Up Your My LYRASIS Account

All staff members will need to create an individual My LYRASIS account to perform some activities on the LYRASIS website including registering for classes and accessing members only information. You may request a My LYRASIS ID and password by submitting the online request form. Make sure to click “yes” for LYRASIS member. Your request for a new My LYRASIS account will be filled within one business day.

4. Registering for Classes and Events

Good news! All legacy NELINET members with unlimited memberships will continue to receive courses free of charge based on their FY2010 membership agreement (excludes seminars, conferences, and special events.). All legacy NELINET consortial associate members will receive a discounted rate

To register:
First you need to request a My LYRASIS account. This will provide you with a My LYRASIS ID and password to use when registering for any events. Make sure to click “yes” for LYRASIS member.

You can now access any educational opportunities at http://www.LYRASIS.org/Classes-and-Events.aspx or whatever event-specific link you may have been directed to from a correspondence or email.

IMPORTANT: When registering for a workshop, please enter the appropriate promotion code that will be provided to your institution from LYRASIS. You will receive your promotion code in a separate correspondence.

5. E-resources and Products

Information on all LYRASIS e-resources and products is available at http://www.LYRASIS.org/Products-and-Services.aspx. For custom quotes specific to legacy NELINET members, you must first set up a My LYRASIS account. You will then click the PRICING tab to put in a custom quote request.

6. How to check your My NELINET account

We are currently working to completely integrate all member information. During the transition, you will continue to have full access to your My NELINET account information. Access your My NELINET account (http://216.41.14.237/eaccount/Login.aspx ) with your current My NELINET account access login and password.
