- Tom Clareson, LYRASIS Program Director for New Initiatives, will participate in “Connecting to the World’s Collections: Making the Case for the Conservation and Preservation of our Cultural Heritage” taking place in Salzburg, Austria October 28 – November 1st. This event brings together an international group of cultural leaders, conservation and preservation specialists, representatives of conservation training institutions, and cultural policymakers to engage in an open exchange of views on optimizing collection conservation. This is an exclusive invitation-only event with representatives from 25 countries.
- LYRASIS is proud to support our partners at NELINET in presenting the 2009 IT Conference "Open Source in Your Library". This exciting event takes place on October 9th at Olin College in Needham, MA and will show you how libraries are implementing open source products for a variety of uses and will expand your understanding of the advantages of using open source products in libraries. - The LYRASIS Mass Digitization Collaborative is thrilled to announce that our partner in this successful and growing endeavor, Internet Archive, has been named as Time Magazine's 50 Best Website of 2009. - LYRASIS is happy to announce a new partnership with Richard Sayers & Associates, a consulting group based in Queensland, Australia, to promote LYRASIS On Demand Distance Education courses throughout Australia and New Zealand. With our On Demand classes, a library or individual can contract with LYRASIS to bring a class directly to their site for customized distance education. Read more in the Press Relase.
