This online, self-paced class introduces the principles and organization of the Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) and their application in the online product WebDewey. The structure of the DDC, principles of classification, number building and use of the tables, the manual and the relative index will be covered along with hands-on exercises using WebDewey.

Intended Audience: New catalogers, new cataloging staff, librarians unfamiliar with the structure and concepts of Dewey classification and anyone wanting a refresher course in using DDC.
