What is LYRA?

LYRASIS has created a new Resource Sharing Group, LYRA. LYRA is an opt in resource sharing group open to all LYRASIS resource sharing members.

How much does LYRA membership cost?

It is free for LYRASIS resource sharing members to join LYRA. LYRA members will agree to lend returnable materials to other LYRA members at no charge.

What’s going to happen to SOLINE, and No Bucks (NO$$)?

SOLINE,and No Bucks will continue as opt in, regional resource sharing groups. Membership in these groups is available to legacy SOLINET, PALINET, and NELINET members respectively.

Will there be an option like SO6 that facilitates free lending of non-returnable items (photocopies of articles)?

SO6 is now an opt in group for the entire LYRASIS region. Any library belonging to LYRA, SOLINE,or No Bucks that is interested in borrowing/lending non-returnable items (photocopies of articles) for free with other SO6 members may join the SO6 group.

SO6 Free Copies! Members of any other resource sharing group (LYRA, SOLINE, NO BUCKS) may also wish to join the SO6 group. SO6 participants agree to provide photocopies to other SO6 participants at no charge. Members of other LYRASIS resource sharing groups are not required to join SO6, but libraries must be members of at least one other resource sharing group to join SO6.
