Academic Video Online gives you a large suite of tools specifically designed for teaching and researching video, tools that let you use and share the content in new ways. Virtually all the videos are fully transcribed and indexed. The transcripts scroll in synchrony with the video itself. Thumbnail snapshots at 15-second intervals let you speed-read or browse through a video quickly. Make custom clips at per-second start-point and stop-point accuracy. Create custom playlists with your clips, whole videos, or content selected from anywhere on the Web—anything that has a URL can be put into your playlist. Each of your clips and playlists lives at a permanent URL—so you can cite them all in papers, blogs, and courseware, email them, share them.
