ScholarlyStats

Swets

ScholarlyStats provides information professionals the tools to analyze usage of their online content.

Description:

Developed initially by MPS Technologies and now owned by Swets, ScholarlyStats provides information professionals the tools to analyze usage of their online content. Version 1.6 of ScholarlyStats has now been released and introduces the new brand identity as well as technical updates, including eBook usage reports and new collection platforms.

ScholarlyStats collects, standardizes, consolidates and presents usage statistics to Library staff through the ScholarlyStats Portal, a single, userfriendly, point of access for usage statistics. This allows librarians to spend more time analyzing and understanding usage at their institution, and less time administrating vendor usage reports.

Libraries today are evolving rapidly in response to the availability of online material and remote access by users. As library budgets are under ever-increasing pressure, the need for an organized system to monitor, maintain and support the analysis of usage statistics has become increasingly evident.

ScholarlyStats provides librarians with easy access to their latest journal and database usage statistics from both compliant and non-COUNTER  compliant platforms to help:

  • Discover the full potential of your usage statistics, spending time analyzing rather than administering them with ScholarlyStats' clear and consistent reporting formats
  • Make informed budgeting decisions aided by real usage data
  • Understand and analyze trends, gaining new insights into user behavior
  • Identify training issues for library staff and schools alike
  • Demonstrate the value that online content provides to your readers
  • Easily provide management with monthly and/or yearly usage reports
  • View usage data integrated into other library services
  • One report to view and analyze usage statistics
  • A suite of consolidated reports that counts full-text article requests, searches and sessions, and turnaways, by titles, month and database
  • A suite of dashboard reports that includes analytical statistics; for instance, numbers of titles and full-text articles requested by publishers, average use by publishers, top ten journals, low usage journals, etc.
  • Differing levels of administrative accounts that allow sharing of usage data among library staff
  • Currently supports data from a variety of publisher platforms, with more being added continually
  • Access to historical usage statistics reports for year-on-year usage analysis
