LYRASIS, a member driven and governed non-profit organization, is dedicated to advancing the well-being of its member libraries. Nowhere is this more important than in helping libraries understand and implement technology to provide effective services. LYRASIS Technology Services (LTS) helps libraries leverage technology with both individual and group solutions.
Made possible in part by
grant funding from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, LYRASIS Technology Services helps members add value to their services through the use of cost-effective and innovative technology solutions. With LTS, libraries can receive expert assistance for:
- Assessing library staff and user technology needs
- Evaluating open source options
- Reviewing library readiness and capacity for supporting open source and other technology systems
- Planning for implementation and migration to a new technology solution from other systems
- Setting up, hosting, implementing, maintaining and upgrading recommended open source solutions
With an emphasis on open source technologies, our two primary areas of focus within LYRASIS Technology Services are:
Through Software as a Service (SaaS) for both open source and commercial software, hosted and maintained by LYRASIS Technology Services, libraries reduce the financial burden of managing the technology systems, while enabling staff to spend more time benefiting from it, and giving end users cutting-edge technology.
Along with our SaaS, LYRASIS, also offers expert
training and consulting for technology decision-making, implementation and planning. Our Professional Development and Consulting services include free webinars, product demos, assessment and evaluation of available options based on library needs, decision support tools, a free open source online registry and customized classes and consulting.
