The upcoming webinar will feature speakers discussing the myriad ways CollectionSpace is used at the museums at the University of California, Berkeley. The speakers will talk about the common needs and benefits that brought the museums together, the way the campus governance council has facilitated the process and the new enhancements that Berkeley team has created and contributed back to the benefit the larger CollectionSpace community.

This webinar is part of the “Community Collections Spotlight” series.

Speakers:

Chris Hoffman

Chris Hoffman, Service Owner, has led the CollectionSpace deployment effort at Berkeley since its beginning a decade ago, building and sustaining instances for five separate museums. Chris is the Associate Director of Research IT and leads two programs: Research Data Management and Informatics Services.

Rick Jaffe

Rick Jaffe, Service Lead, coordinates the efforts of the CollectionSpace Support team to meet the needs and requirements of the museums. Rick was a member of the CollectionSpace development team at UC Berkeley. He rejoined the CollectionSpace effort in 2018. Richard Millet is the Senior Technical Lead in Educational Technology Services at University of California, Berkeley. He previously served as the CollectionSpace Technical Lead for five years. Before that he worked in IT Research at UC Berkeley for nearly 11 years and as a Software Engineer at Apple and Intuit.
