Description:

The VIVO Community invites you to attend a webinar to learn more about VIVO. VIVO is a member-supported, open source software and ontology for representing scholarship. It is used around the world by research institutions to support recording, editing, searching, browsing, and visualizing scholarly activity. VIVO is continually working with collaborators to create new opportunities for representing scholarship and use that information to advance knowledge. It is often managed by the library in collaboration with research administration. As a community supported project, VIVO has certified development partners who help VIVO member institutions to implement and customize the software for their unique needs. Together, VIVO and the VIVO Community help librarians to support their scholarly communications mission, as well as the broader strategic mission of their institution’s leadership, while also supporting open source development.

In this webinar, representatives from Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS) and Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (UC) and the Web of Science Group, a LYRASIS Certified VIVO Partner, will share how VIVO helps to showcase research outputs and other activities, advance research collaborations, find experts, analyze research networks, and assess research impact.
