Attendees will learn how to avoid common budget mistakes and prepare for budgeting challenges, along with real-world strategies for developing and managing library and program budgets. From funding requests and justifications to budget development and tracking, learn how to strategically craft and manage your library budget!

Instructor
Jami Yazdani started her library career in circulation roles before earning her MLIS, and has been a reference librarian, technology librarian, library manager and library director. Jami is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) with over 17 years of experience managing complex projects and planning initiatives, leading technology innovations and process improvements, and guiding (sometimes reluctant) groups of diverse colleagues and stakeholders towards consensus and positive outcomes. After more than 15 years in libraries, Jami founded Yazdani Consulting and Facilitation to help people solve management problems. She turned her passion for supporting the development of leaders at all levels and her experience in leading projects, teams and trainings into a solutions-focused approach to project and management consulting.
Jami holds a Master’s of Library and Information Science from Louisiana State University and a Master’s of Technology Management from the University of Maryland Global Campus.
