Description:

This class is a complete introduction to basic data and data visualization for librarians. We'll discuss how to recognize and interpret data visualizations, how to identify different types of data visualizations, and the importance of data visualization to various disciplines.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this class, students will be able to:

recognize and interpret data visualizations
identify different types of data visualizations
describe the importance of data visualization for librarians serving various disciplines

Instructor

Rachel Chandler Rachel Chandler is the Science and Data Visualization Librarian at Georgia State University in Atlanta, GA. She is a former medical illustrator with a background in Biology and Chemistry. She is lover of all things related to science and art.
