Getting Started with ORCID
Strategic ORCID integrations require planning with multiple stakeholders, iterative technical development, and ongoing outreach to individual researchers. The ORCID US Planning Guide provides considerations for getting started. To see what other institutions have done with ORCID:

ORCID US Community Showcase #4 (Sept. 24, 2019. University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Florida State University, and Mississippi State University)
ORCID Outreach Resources
In order for institutions to benefit from ORCID, individual researchers and contributors must:
1) register for an ORCID iD
2) populate their ORCID iD record with information, and
3) use their ORCID iD and grant permission for trusted assertions and auto-update.
The ORCID US Community Outreach Planning Guide provides a step-by-step checklist of resources, examples, and strategies for promoting ORCID to researchers. Additionally, the ORCID Outreach Toolkit provides a 3-step plan for creating anticipation, action, and awareness about ORCID and its benefits for individuals.
