Russell Palmer is currently Implementation Manager for the Digital Technology Services team at LYRASIS, where he provides open source software implementation project management and training for museums, libraries, and archives. Russell also writes, teaches, and speaks on a range of topics of interest to cultural heritage organizations, including emerging technologies, digitization, resource sharing, reference and information services, assessment, collection development and information literacy. He previously worked as Assistant Professor/Instruction and Outreach Coordinator at Mercer University. Russell has been invited to speak at state, regional, national, and international conferences, including LOEX, LOEX of the West, and the Reference Renaissance. He earned his MLIS at Florida State University, and his AB in English at the University of Georgia.
