Alexander Street Press Scottish Women Poets of the Romantic Period










Scottish Women Poets of the Romantic Period is an electronic collection of more than 60 volumes of lyric poetry by Scottish women. This large body of poetry includes editorial selections as well as entire volumes that were written between 1789 and 1832.

This accessible collection includes the works of approximately 50 poets, allowing readers to interact with the texts, just as the authors intended more than two centuries ago. This series also contains bibliographical sketches and essays; bibliographies of the primary works, criticism and reviews; a critical introduction; links to related web resources; and secondary critical essays and reviews by major scholars.
