Lyrasis has partnered with IOP Publishing, one of the world's leading society publishers in the field of physics, to transition all institutions participating in the Lyrasis IOP journal deal to a read-and-publish Open Access agreement, also known as a transformative agreement.
For a single fee that is cost-neutral relative to their subscriptions, participating institutions receive full access to the IOPScience Extra journal package (including more than ninety scholarly journals) as well as unlimited gold OA publishing by their corresponding authors in IOP's gold and hybrid journals.
Additional institutions may join this Open Access agreement at any time. The sixteen institutions currently participating in the agreement are highly diverse, including top research universities, liberal arts colleges, and state regional universities.
Lyrasis has negotiated a central license agreement with the best possible terms. Participating institutions placing new orders will be asked to agree to abide by the terms at that time.
