ACLS Humanities E-Book Project

Vendor: ACLS

ACLS Humanities E-Book (HEB) is an online collection of over 5,400 books of high quality in the humanities, accessible through institutional and individual subscription. These titles are offered by the American Council of Learned Societies in collaboration with thirty-one learned societies, over 100 contributing publishers, and the Michigan Publishing division at the University of Michigan Library. The result is an online, fully searchable collection of high-quality books in the humanities, recommended and reviewed by scholars. These are works of major importance that remain vital to both scholars and advanced students, and are frequently cited in the literature.

  • Full-text books presented in three formats: page-image, text and PDF
  • A fully integrated, cross-searchable platform
  • Unlimited multi-user access
  • Free, downloadable MARC records
  • COUNTER compliant usage statistics

As of August 1, 2018, HEB is live on the Fulcrum publishing platform at www.fulcrum.org/heb. Developed by Michigan Publishing and funded through a grant by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, Fulcrum is the next step in the evolution of HEB. To learn more, visit the Fulcrum page on the ACLS website.
