About The Palace Project

The Palace Project is the next phase in the collaboration between DPLA and LYRASIS over the last several years and builds on the Library Simplified platform, an opensource code base originally designed and developed by the New York Public Library.

The Palace Project is the middleware solution that allows for easy management of your library's eContent offerings from multiple licensed and open eContent sources, such as Overdrive, Biblioteca, RBDigital, DPLA, and more. Palace is the user app, available for iPhone and Android, that gives your patrons 3 click access to your entire collection of eBooks, audio books, and other eContent.

The Palace Project gives you the power to take back control of your ebooks services so you can control collection spend while maximizing impact on your community.

Plus, access open content for free through the DPLA Exchange and Open Bookshelf, expanding your catalog and offering more content to your users at no cost.
